Remedial Officer

Our client, a reputable bank in the City is looking to recruit a Remedial Officer to join their team. The main purpose of the role is to ensure Remedial policy and procedures are adhered to at all times, along with other relevant policies in place within the Bank. Responsibilities include managing portfolio of non-performing credit facilities and to work closely with legal and other professionals to enforce security or undertake legal actions for recovery. Implement Business Plans including in depth due diligence to develop best options available to maximize loan recovery and implement as appropriate. Production of MI for senior management. The role will also require active involvement in the periodic committee meetings and ensure appropriate updates actions completed for the designated NPL portfolio. Responsibilities: Review security documentation to identify, assess, monitor, measure and control documentation and collateral risk at the back end of the account management process by regular reviews. To establish effective recovery stream by account monitoring and control processes by way of reporting, action steps, escalating and mitigating risks by follow up on actions and appropriate legal actions. To calculate provisions Be able to evidence advance knowledge of word, spread sheets, Macros and Power Point Coordinate and provide information to the external stakeholders e.g. external auditors, solicitors, valuators, receivers, administrators etc. Coordinate and provide information to the internal stakeholders Comply with all Individual Conduct Rules and the Certification Regime as per the regulatory and Bank specific requirements Timely identify and initiate remediation of problem credits and determine a strategy to optimize the recovery; Be able to engage with the customer and manage matters with solicitors, administrators and receivers with outcomes benefitting both the Bank and the customer.
