We seek to recruit a Customer Service Clerk/Cashier for a well-respected Retail bank, based in the West End. Working in a small team, this role will be varied and have lots of opportunity to learn more about all aspects of the role. Previous experience from a Retail/Private or Wealth Management banking background essential, ideally dealing with High Net worth customers. Responsibilities:- Cashiering duties, Processing, logging and positioning of inward / outward Sterling and currency payments on behalf of customers and third parties by CHAPS/SWIFTS Issuance of cheques/drafts on behalf of customers Processing of agency cheques Cheques issued by our customers for payment via Correspondent bank Passing of direct debits and bank giro credits Processing of cheques received from customers to be paid into their accounts held with us Liaise with Treasury department regarding purchase & sale of foreign currency on behalf of customers approx. limit USD 10,000.00 or equivalent Input of customers foreign exchange deals Instruct Settlement department of any customer funds which are to be placed on a fixed deposit by issuing a fixed deposit slip Reconciliation entries to be addressed Dealing with queries relating to Customer Services AML and KCY duties Confirm with customers, by telephone, their fax instructions as directed Checking of outward payments before being passed to Officers for authorisation Ensure complete working knowledge of Customer Services section Assist other staff members when required Any other duties which may be assigned by Management If you are interested please send your cv to
