Our client an International Bank based in London is currently looking for a Facilities Assistant to join their team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ad-hoc maintenance of the premises and organisation of engineering and repair work as and when required, for both the Bank and Bank House building.
Overseeing regular contractors, i.e. cleaners, maintenance etc.
Responsible for provision of furniture.
Act as first point of call for the Bank and Banks House, i.e. intruder alarm and the maintenance of the system.
Manning the security desk, franking post, disposing of shredded paper, rubbish and ad-hoc maintenance/repairs.
Acts as a key holder for the Banks premises and the Banks house.
Manage the keys of Bank and Bank house.
Responsible for the maintenance of the alarm and the CCTV and monitoring of the CCTV for security purposes for the Bank and Bank house.
Ensure the office is kept free of hazards.
Liaise with the council in all issues to with the Bank and Bank house.
Overseeing all the Health & Safety, Security and Fire policies and procedures ensuring they are up to date and adhering to best practice.
Renewing contracts etc keeping them up to date and in line with legislation and best practice.
Responsible for maintenance of fire equipment, first aid kits, signs etc
Should be able and willing to be a First Aider Fire Marshall. Abel and willing to cover the admin assistant during absence, including chaffering.
Attend to office supplies and ensure that toiletries are replenished.
Arrange and oversee PAC testing, carpet cleaning.
Always obtaining at least three competitive quotes for all quotes, contracts etc.
Be able to cover the Reception team during all absence.
Occasional chauffeuring as and when requested therefore clean driving licence is needed.
Skills and knowledge:
IT literacy, Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
Methodical and able to multi task
Clean Drivers License
Able and willing to carry heavy loads
Good communication skills especially written
