On behalf of our client, an international bank based in London, we are looking for an Assistant Manager to join their Business Development team.
The purpose of the role is:
Marketing and relationship management for existing customers, correspondent banks with the aim to maintain and improve existing relationships and business.
Marketing/research to look for new opportunities within the following business functions, primarily: trade finance, treasury and loans syndication.
Responsibilities will include:
Develop relationships through regular contact and visits, both in the UK and overseas, to this end a detailed visiting plan should be produced each year.
Identify business opportunities in line with the approved risk appetite, risk profile of the Banks strategy and to market the Banks services appropriately. In respect of achievable business opportunities to seek and recommend all relevant risk limits required to undertake the proposed business.
Contribute recommendations for new and existing limits in respect of the ?Countries and Interbank Annual Review to achieve the Banks approved budget objectives. This will involve the job holder communicating effectively with all departments within the Bank to ensure that any identified opportunities for all additional/new business are reviewed actively and in the shortest time possible.
As ?Certification Staff, ensure the Banks AML, counter terrorist financing, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption and fraud prevention, complaint handling and treating your customer fairly policies, procedures and together with other regulated regulatory guidelines are adhered to at all times by the Business Development Departments personnel.
Experience & Skills required:
Several years of experience in marketing/relationship management in a bank.
Relevant degree or equivalent.
Fluent in Arabic and English.
Excellent written English.
Excellent communication skills.
