Trade Services Analyst- 12 month FTC

Our client, an international wholesale bank based in London is seeking to recruit an experienced Trade Finance Analyst for their Trade Services team. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for all documentary credits processing. ***Please note this is a 12 month FTC therefore this role will only be suitable for candidates immediately available or with a 1-2 week notice period*** Responsibilities: 1st Checking of documents presented against Letters of Credit in accordance with relative rules and/or regulations as well as ensuring the Bank’s standards are complied with in order to ensure the Bank’s position is protected at all times. Processing payments, acceptances, deferred payments, discounts under letters of credit as well as payments under collections and reimbursements all too agreed timescales. Ensure compliance with the Bank’s sanctions and due diligence requirements as well as liaising with other departments as and when required. Acts as a source of reference to all clients and counter parties. Ensures that customers receive an efficient and professional service. Ensuring any issues are resolved efficiently and professionally maintaining a high standard of customer service. Calculating and reviewing commissions ensuring all fees due to the Bank are collected. Involvement with processing of participations, syndications and back to backs. May be required to cover Trade Services Admin clerk role Skills and knowledge: A Level or equivalent and or degree level education. Qualified CDCS, CITF and or CTFC preferred. Good knowledge of all applicable ICC rules and publications Banking experience and payments knowledge Strong communication skills with a high level of numeracy, literacy, accuracy and attention to detail.
