We are currently seeking an experience Payments Validator on behalf of our client, an international bank based in London
The payments validator will be responsible for validating transactions for the Bank on behalf of customers and treasury, thus providing the Bank with vital support in servicing their customers needs in an accurate and timely manner. It is essential you have SWIFT/CHAPS and FX Treasury experience.
Responsibilities will include:
Checking and validation of inward / outward payments on behalf of customers and third parties by CHAPS/SWIFTS
Checking and validation of cheques/drafts
Checking and validation of direct debits, bank giro credits and payrolls
Checking and validation of Processing of cheques received from customers to be paid into their accounts held with us
Checking and validation of Foreign exchange deals
Treasury/Settlements MM backup assistant
Validating MM deals, Loans, Deposits, FX, SWAPS
To check reconciliations and assist with the clearing of items where necessary.
Checking and validation of new and renewals of customer deposits.
Checking/Signing loan Facilities repayment letters
Checking and validation of Input of account opening, amendments to accounts and renewals of KYC.
Checking and validation of Bank to Bank Loans, transfers, Deposits, Swaps and Foreign Exchanges.
Ensuring Nostro position payments are covered and paid.
Checking and validation of customer temporary loans
Checking and validation of overseas cheque payments and collection.
Checking of currency, interest and deposit rates.
Respond to Audit Action Plans as requested by management
Formulation and maintenance of desk instructions ? to be kept available for easy reference
Adherence to UK Money Laundering Legislation and timely reporting of suspicious transactions to MLRO
Compliance with UK laws and regulations insofar as they relate to job description
Release of CHAPS and SWIFT payments
The ideal candidate will also have some experience of Trade Finance processes and be confident in validating documentary credits payments and a good understanding Letters of Credit and guarantees.
Good working knowledge of Swift and Chaps
Trade finance knowledge
Strong IT skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise and manage workload
Ability to work in an organised and methodical way and have sound organisational and coordinating skills
Proven track record in good interpersonal skills
Experience of work at a similar level within a complex organisation
Educated to GCSE or equivalent including English and Maths at GCSE plus three others
