Relationship Manager, Financial Institutions

Fluent Arabic/French - Hybrid Our client is seeking a Relationship Manager, with exposure to working with Financial Institution’s and Trade Finance to join their team in London on a permanent basis (Hybrid working - 2 days in the office and 3 days from home per week). Candidates, must speak either Arabic or French fluently. Responsible for developing and executing relationship plans for existing clients; this includes effectively collaborating with clients, client support, distribution and product teams as well. Also includes execution of on-boarding process in relation to credit and KYC. Contribute to the business of the FI Team by absorbing administrative and operational issues with the clients particularly with clients who use exclusively Arabic or French to communicate. Main responsibilities include (but not limited to): Understands stakeholders key relationships to insure to cover during their absence (business trips, holidays.). Maintain and grow a profitable book of business through disciplined and proactive business development and relationship management. Develop an in-depth knowledge of products and services. Analyse the needs of clients in order to effectively recommend appropriate products or services. Payments queries from our clients (receipt of funds, executed payments, bank statements, audit trail). Liaising directly with counterparts for any technical issue Collation of KYC documentation for existing and new clients, liaising both externally and internally to meet all requirements. Managing LC financing maturities ? ensuring timely reminder and chasing for payments. Managing payment of associated LC interest and charges. Translation of documents if required. Ensures all transactions are recorded in the system completely as well as syndication if it is involved. Take ownership for client relationship with the bank under supervision of the existing RMs. Prioritises relationships effectively and have an appropriate relationship management plan for each customer. Take a consultative approach to understanding client objectives, effectively identify their financial needs, implement appropriate financial solutions, and undertake ongoing review and assessment to ensure plan execution. Effectively collaborate with client service team, product team and senior management to ensure an excellent client experience. Anticipates client needs. Maintain a working knowledge of operating policies and procedures which impact commercial relationships. Understand and apply fist line of defence. Monitors direct and operating exposures of portfolio to ensure actual performance is consistent with approved limits ?and consistent with the understanding. Initiates timely changes to risk ratings to reflect changes in conditions that impact customers and client risk exposure, including regulatory compliance. Complete accurate and timely credit actions, including periodic reviews, renewals and modifications. Work in close partnership with credit administration. Qualifications and Experience: Experience managing FIs relationships, and developing, structuring Trade Finance deals (at least 3 years of experience in banking with trade Finance) . Must be a self-starter, and have the ability to take ownership of high profile relationships while effectively communicating with senior management with supervision of the RMs Prepares, presents for approval; thorough, timely, and accurately analysed credit presentations. Arabic and/or French and English languages are crucial in order to communicate to our clients and stakeholders. Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non standardized situations. Effective organizational and time management skills. Ability to effectively utilize computer technology. Intermediate in Microsoft Office programs and T24.
