Portfolio Manager - Project Finance

We are working with our client, a well-established international bank, based in London, to recruit a Portfolio Manager to join their Project Finance team. The purpose of the role will be to proactively manage and monitor the Project Finance loan portfolio through the submission of annual reviews and waiver/amendment requests in a professional and timely manner. The role will require the maintenance of a close and proactive dialogue with the Credit Risk Department whilst also supporting the other members of the Project & Infrastructure Finance team with their origination and execution activities. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Act as the first line of defence for risk mitigation on all transactions. Work within the Project Finance team with primary responsibility for proactively managing the Project Finance portfolio, including: - Maintenance of internal Portfolio Management System. Preparation of monthly portfolio report. Undertake periodic / ad-hoc credit reviews including financial and non-financial analysis, internal ratings, financial model review and present to Credit Risk Department / Credit Committee as required. Review of Project due diligence reports during construction and operation, flagging any issues at an early stage with all stakeholders. Process waiver and other transaction requests, obtaining the requisite approvals. Develop relationships with project counterparties. Execution of existing portfolio refinancing / restructuring opportunities. To support the team in its origination and execution activities. To be fully conversant with the Banks AML / CDD / KYC requirements whilst ensuring that all loan facilities are fully compliant from a KYC perspective. Skills & experience required: An excellent understanding of the project and infrastructure finance market including debt structures and documentation An excellent understanding of portfolio management. Attention to detail and forensic analytical skills. Strong credit analysis and credit application writing skills. Strong presentation skills. Financial modelling capability. Existing network of contacts across sponsors, advisors and banks in the project and infrastructure market.
