Fluent Mandarin Operations Assistant Manager

Sponsorship will not be available for this position, therefore 3 years on visa eligibility to work in UK is essential. Our client, a financial Institution, is looking for a London based Fluent Mandarin Operations Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end settlement and treasury operations process, assist in day-to-day operations of the bank, including settlement and back-office functions (Treasury, Payments and Reconciliations/Investigations across Nostros and counterparties) and assist with the bank system application testing and modification. Duties will include (but not limited to): Prepare daily cash movement reports. Manage payments preparation, fund transfers and issue trade confirmation. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in the settlement amounts, as well as reconcile cash breaks. Maintain counterparties’ information and SSI against in-house systems. ? Actively participate in projects for new systems and new product launches. ? Support the implementation of new products and system modifications. ? Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure efficient department operations. ? Assist department members in handling any operational issues. ? Provide coverage for other back-office functions as needed. Skills & Experience: ? Minimum 2 years’ experience within a banking role. ? Understanding of payments schemes (CHAPS and SWIFT). ? Solid understanding of the UK payment system including Interbank Clearing, Nostro account reconciliations and CHAPS processes. ? Experienced in handling SWIFT operations. ? Strong communication skills in both written and verbal in English and Mandarin. ? Relevant professional qualifications.
